As of August 6, 2025, Nicholas County has officially joined the West Virginia Goes Purple movement in honor of National Recovery Month—and what a beautiful moment it was! From the energy in the room to the purple pride across the community, this proclamation marks a powerful step toward breaking the stigma, supporting recovery, and changing the narrative for our state.
